Every wedding day unfolds differently, however below is a guide to how we typically work throughout the day to ensure your film feels seamless, natural, and thoughtfully captured.

 

For a typical 2pm ceremony, coverage would usually begin from around 10am.

 

With the Coastal Collection, the morning preparations are filmed separately, allowing us to capture both sides of the story naturally, from the quieter moments and final details to the atmosphere as the excitement builds. During this time, we also take the opportunity to capture venue details, styling, florals, and décor before guests arrive.

 

Throughout the morning, we’ll gently document natural interactions as well as relaxed bridal and groom portraits where appropriate.

 

As guests begin arriving, we capture the atmosphere and anticipation leading into the ceremony. If your ceremony is taking place within a church or religious venue, we kindly ask that you check with the venue beforehand to ensure professional video cameras are permitted during the service.

 

Following the ceremony, we usually allow the couple a few quiet moments together while guests gather outside. This gives you a brief opportunity to pause and take everything in before we move into your confetti moment.

 

From there, coverage naturally continues into your drinks reception where we focus on candid guest interactions, atmosphere, and the overall feeling of the celebration.

 

There is often time during this part of the day for portraits with your photographer, which we will capture naturally alongside them. Once photography has concluded, we may also request a short amount of additional time with you both to create a few cinematic moving shots for your final film.

 

As the day continues, we document elements of your wedding breakfast, speeches, room details, and evening atmosphere before capturing your cake cutting and first dance.

 

For most weddings, coverage concludes at approximately 8pm unless additional evening coverage has been arranged.

 

If you are planning any special moments such as fireworks, sparklers, surprise performances, or additional entertainment, we kindly ask that these are discussed with us ahead of the wedding day to ensure nothing important is missed.

 

As your filmmakers are present throughout the majority of the day, a supplier meal is greatly appreciated and allows us to remain on-site and available during the evening coverage. If catering will not be provided, we kindly ask that this is discussed with us in advance so suitable arrangements can be made.
